It has been scientifically proven that many serious diseases result from an imbalance of the body’s internal water equilibrium. Some of the diseases include high blood pressure, asthma, stomach ulcers, allergies, joint inflammation, constipation, headache, and digestive problems.
An insufficient intake of water is also one of the major causes of obesity. Since thirst and hunger often go together, an individual who drinks little can easily confuse the feeling of thirst with the feeling of hunger. Therefore, he or she is likely to misinterpret his or her body’s water deficient state and eat instead of drink.
The easiest way to separate the two urges is to drink a glass of water before a meal. If hunger disappears, then you were only thirsty.
